This is a must watch movie. Although it initially seems like it will be a light movie, there is a lot of heart and the emotions are bubbling up to the surface. The movie is about accepting accountability for your deeds and going beyond yourself to consider how your deeds may affect others.

The climax is adrenaline-fueled, and the action is fierce. When combat movies get it right, a certain emotional intensity is brought to the screen that is unsurpassed by any other film genre, and this is one of those movies.

Warrior
$4.99

Gavin O'Connor's Warrior is a solid, gut-wrenching entertainment with a damaged nuclear family and enthralling mixed martial arts battle scenes.

It draws you in with powerful but understated early sequences before all hell breaks free and holds your attention with its primarily male characters—a father, two sons, and a trainer—who make their way to an Atlantic City mixed martial arts tournament.

The premise: The protagonists of Warrior are Paddy Conlon and his estranged sons Brendan and Tommy, who all come into conflict with one another as a result of their involvement in the Sparta mixed martial arts competition.

The portrayal of MMA in the movie is, on the whole, accurate. One strike leads to another, takedowns are used to prevent injury, jiu-jitsu is employed against wrestling, and leverage and hip escapes are correctly used.
